Work Experience

Michael worked in the healthcare industry supporting IT infrastructure, applications and data analysis/statistics prior to joining UConn in 1994.  He also worked at Wesleyan University and the UConn Foundation from 1998 to 2000 and re-joined UConn in 2000.  Since 1994, Michael has worked in support of both infrastructure (server, desktop support and client/server networking) and departmental and enterprise applications development and support, as well as gaining expertise in Business Analysis and Project Management.

Of note: Michael developed an application that was used by the Massachusetts Department of Corrections System, built a student judicial system used at UConn, built an electronic portfolio system at Wesleyan, implemented the first enterprise wide open source application (Open Source Portfolio) at UConn, led the groupware (email, calendaring & workflow) implementation at UConn, and led the team responsible for producing the SDLC standards for UITS. Michael now manages the development and support of Enterprise Workflow and the Database Management team.

Community

Michael is a member of the town of Brooklyn Conservation Commission and is responsible for the GIS data and generation of maps used by the commission.
